Youth Sports Trust Award – Ouskh
Heath Park’s Ouskh Dampha receives the National School Sports Week Hero award!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Ouskh Dampha from Heath Park has been honoured with the National School Sports Week Hero Award by the Youth Sports Trust Changemakers.
Ouskh’s contribution to our PE Department has been nothing short of extraordinary. He has represented the school on multiple occasions and his passion for sport, along with his dedication to helping others, has been invaluable in supporting fellow students during PE lessons. Ouskh has played a key role in driving whole-school initiatives like the Monster Kickabout programme and National Sports Week, encouraging participation and promoting the values of teamwork and inclusivity.
During the recent Monster Kickabout event, the Youth Sport Trust and their partners at Sports Direct were so impressed by Ouskh’s journey and enthusiasm that they surprised him with hospitality tickets to watch England vs. Ireland at Wembley. His joy was truly infectious—he couldn’t stop smiling all day, and he spent his train journey home reliving the experience through the photos he had taken.
On November 20th, Ouskh, along with Mr. Alderman and Miss Harvey, travelled to London to receive his well-deserved award, presented by none other than Sir Mo Farah. But the surprises didn’t end there! When Ouskh told Sir Mo of his love for Chelsea Football Club, Mo handed him a phone with a personalised video message from former Chelsea and England captain, John Terry. To Ouskh’s utter delight, John Terry not only promised to send him a signed shirt but also offered tickets to watch Chelsea play!
We couldn’t be prouder of Ouskh and his remarkable achievements. His passion, leadership, and dedication to sport are an inspiration to us all. Congratulations, Ouskh, on this outstanding recognition – you truly deserve it!
