Young Writers – Poetry Competition
Students at Heath Park were given the opportunity to enter the exciting and immersive ‘Young Writers’ poetry competition called ‘The Power of Poetry’ back in February. ‘The Power of Poetry’ gave young writers an opportunity to have their voices heard and explore issues that matter to them and the world in a creative way. One of our extremely talented year 7’s, Sophie Taff, has been selected to have her poem ‘Autumn Colours’ published in the poetry anthology. Sophie created an acrostic poem that describes the beauty of springtime. As a school, we are very proud of Sophie and all the students who embraced this opportunity.
