Wolverhampton Youth Council Representatives

Heath Park prefects Sienna Ahir (Y10) and Fathia Abubakar (Y12) have been elected to be the voice of their Heath Park peers and are now officially part of the Wolverhampton Youth Council. We are very proud that Hephzibah Kalapala (Y9) was also elected as Vice Secretary for Youth Council.

The Youth Council, which formed in 2001, has evolved into a group for young people to make sure their views are considered by decision makers in Wolverhampton, as well as providing extra scrutiny for councilors.

We are extremely proud of the girls and they were very excited to be elected.

It’s a unique opportunity to develop myself as a leader and support other people in the community‘ (Sienna Ahir)

I welcome the opportunity to branch out and make a difference, not just in my school  but also the wider community‘ (Fathia Abubakar)

I am very happy to be elected and excited to representative youth voices across Wolverhampton‘ (Hephzibah Kalapala)
