Appropriate Media Material for Young People
With Halloween coming it’s a good time to think about film certificates and appropriate media material for young people. This guide should help you make sure you understand how age ratings work, what kind of material you might expect to see in films, tv shows and videogames at different certificates and, just as importantly, some real practical advice about what you can do, from watching the film first so you can make your own reasoned judgement – because never forget that the person who knows your child best is you – to how to use parental controls.
