Online Safety – Group Chats

One of the most common areas of concern, about issues such as unknown contacts, inappropriate content, unwise sharing and online bullying, are group chats, which most of our students seem to be involved in most of the time.  We have a guide for you here.
Two additional pieces of information – there are a wide range of video resources available to all of our parents on the National Online Safety website. You just need to register with the site – the membership the school has bought covers all of ‘our’ parents as well as staff in school.  Details of how to register can be found here.
And because of the pandemic we haven’t held an information session in school about online safety for parents for several years and are planning one for next half term. If you’d be interested in coming in to a session after the school day, at a time to be fixed between 4 and 7, please email adam.fletcher@heathpark.net so we can get an idea of numbers.
